PUPILS have been given a tour of Oxford University in the hope it will inspire them to aim high.
The group from Westleigh High School spent a day at the landmark institution in which they learnt about life at university and were given a tour of the rooms and facilities.
The school hopes that the visit will let the pupils know that they could perhaps study at Oxford or Cambridge themselves one day.
Head teacher John Banks said: “I am very pleased that our students have had the opportunity to experience life at one of the country’s most prestigious universities.
“It may inspire them to continue to work hard and hopefully become a student at Oxford or Cambridge themselves in the future”.
