CUSTOMERS and employees at Asda in Leigh have raised more than £1,000 for Wigan and Leigh Hospice.
The supermarket on Atherleigh Way held a tombola and a chocolate raffle to raise £1001.50 for the Hindley hospice.
Gwen Appleton, community life champion at Asda in Leigh, said: “Whenever people know we are doing something for the hospice the support we get is absolutely brilliant.
“We have to give a special thanks to our customers as we couldn’t have done it without them, they really make all the difference.”
