THOUSANDS of children will be sitting down this week to take their SATs and thanks to Kelloggs they won’t be doing it on an empty stomach.
The cereal giant has set up more than 250 breakfast clubs in primary schools across the country including at Atherton St George’s.
They have donated 31,250 free breakfasts to schoolchildren who are sitting their exams this week as well as providing crockery and cups.
Head teacher Rachel Coulthard said: “Everyone gets a bit nervous before an exam but the clubs give the children a bit of quality time together with staff to calm them down.
“We wouldn’t have the budget to do this otherwise and it really makes a difference to the children. It helps them concentrate and show off everything they have learnt this year.”
