Today marks 15 years of life saving by the North West Air Ambulance Charity.

Since 1999 over 18,000 emergency missions have been flown and to mark the anniversary NWAAC wants anyone who has needed or supported the charity to record and share their story on video.

Last year, the helicopters flew 1,800 rescue missions throughout the region involving incidents on motorways, remote countryside and city centres.

The teams cover 5,500 square miles providing an vital life saving service to eight million people on call 365 days a year, with the doctors and paramedics on board providing rapid treatment, hospital transfers, and a priceless gift of time to patients.

Now as part of annivesary celebrations the charity wants to hear inspirational stories from those who have reason to be grateful for the air ambulance and those who sup[port the charity.
