DANCING queen Leonie Palmer has scooped the British title to add to her ever-growing list of successes.
The 14 year-old Bedford High School pupil from Leigh won the under 16s freestyle disco title in the British Isles Championships held at Pontin's, Prestatyn.
Last year she scooped the Lancashire under 14s title and this autumn she'll be showing off her moves in Norway with fellow members of the Salford-based Signature School of Dance where she is tutored by Chris Simpson and Gary Sykes.
"She's determined to make dancing her career," said her proud mum, Michelle, a former Leigh Harriers athlete who runs the Forget Me Not flower business on Leigh Market.
"Leonie spends nine hours a week training, she has been dancing since she was six and wants to become a professional dancer.”
