THE Soul Train rolls into Hindley on Saturday, May 31 (from 7.45pm) performing the best of Northern Soul anthems at The Rose Club.

They will be keeping on the right track with their authentic arrangements featuring the blistering sound of The Union Pacific Horns, the great songs of Dobie Gray, Frank Wilson, The Showstoppers, Al Wilson, Dean Parish, Jackie Wilson and Tony Clarke all performed with pride and passion.

Throw in some classic Sixties Soul hits by artists such as The Four Tops, Wilson Pickett and Smokey Robinson and a hot night is guaranteed. ‘Cabaret soul’ this ain’t!

Last year’s line up change saw former Simply Red drummer Chris Joyce in the hot seat.

He said: “This is a great opportunity for us to visit another of the iconic Dance Halls of the North West (The Rose Club is the former Monaco Ballroom) bringing our show of equally iconic songs from the golden era of Soul in the UK.”

To make the night extra special, the band will be joined by regular Rose Club DJ Bob Brierley on the decks before, in between and after the band’s two sets to give the event a real ‘soul club’ atmosphere.
