SLIMMERS are shaping up to lose pounds and raise funds on a walk in their onesies.

Nine slimmers who attend Slimming World classes at Kingsleigh Methodist Church on King Street are taking part in Wigan and Leigh Hospice’s Onesie Walk starting at 10pm on June 14.

They will be joined by women from across the borough to walk 10km across Wigan in their onesies in order to raise funds for the hospice.

Zoe Turner, aged 40, who attends the class every Monday said: “A friend of mine recently lost her mum who was cared for by the hospice so I know how good the care is.

“I read up on how much funding the Hospice needs so when the opportunity came up to do the Onesie Walk I wanted to help.”

Entry forms for are available from www.wlh.org.uk or by calling the Fundraising team on 01942 525566 before June 4.
