A CAMPAIGN to reinstall toilets is looking better than ever thanks to a colourful transformation.

Artwork by graffiti artist Gecko has been installed at the former toilet block in Lilford Park after spending five months on display in Leigh Spinning Gate Shopping Centre.

The Friends of Lilford Park is trying to raise £5,000 to reinstate the toilets.

FOLP chairman David Sykes said: “We are very pleased with the art work and how masks the toilet building. We hope it will continue to make the park a little more attractive for the coming summer months and indeed for much longer.

“Thanks go to United Utilities, Brighter Borough, Atlas Plastics, Northern Kitchens and Spinning Gate who have subsidised and supported these works on our behalf.”
