AN EVENT is being held to raise money and awareness following the recent outbreak of Alabama Rot.
The family fun-day and dog show is being held at Molly Moonshines’ Doggy Day Care at Worsley Garden Centre on July 20 from 11.30am.
Categories in the dog show will include most handsome dog and best fancy dress while there will also be a raffle, a bouncy castle, beer tent, pony rides and craft stalls.
Five dogs are known to have died from the mystery disease after they were walked in the east of the borough.
All proceeds from the fun day will be donated to the Animal Health Trust and veterinary specialists Anderson Moores for research into the deadly illness.
