THE first Leigh Business Expo is fast approaching.

The event has sold out for anyone wanting to hold a stall but there will be plenty of room for people to come, have a look around and learn something about other businesses in the area.

There will be social media workshops and a business clinic, all free of charge, for any companies that wish to attend.

Organiser Nicola Westwell said: “We hope businesses that come down will be able to learn something on the day.

“The social media workshops will be at 11am and 1pm and the business clinic will be running all day.

“We want to help businesses in the area get their name out there and to get Leigh out there. We want to put Leigh on the map.”

The expo is being held at Leigh Sports Village on July 11 from 8.30am until 3pm and Leigh MP Andy Burnham will officially open the expo at 9.30am.

“O2 Leigh is sponsoring us and we have the support of the sports village and Trust in Leigh will be sending representatives down,” Nicola said.

“We will also have three students from Bedford High School coming down as part of the volunteer system and someone from Cadence Cafe will be filming on the day.

“We’ve got all the volunteers t-shirts from a local business and we’ve tried where we can to source everything from a five to 10 mile radius.”

Although the event has sold out, there is still an opportunity for businesses to advertise in the expo’s brochure which will be handed out to all attendees.
