A FAMILY fun day is being held to raise money to help fly a Leigh man who had a stroke on the last day of his holiday home.
John Fillingham is currently being treated in a Spanish hospital in Tarragona after he fell ill while on holiday with his two daughters.
An anonymous businessman has offered to loan John’s family the £15,000 they need to pay for an air ambulance to fly him home but they need to raise the money to pay him back.
The fundraiser is on Saturday from noon until 6pm at Higher Folds Sports and Social Club and there will be entertainment including a bouncy castle, darts and a disco as well as food and a raffle.
