Householders could cut the cost of their energy bills

HOUSEHOLDS could apply for thousands of pounds to help slash the cost of their energy bills through a brand new energy campaign.

The Little Bill campaign will see Wigan Council work with Greater Manchester Energy Advice and Wates Living Space to help people save money by improving the energy efficiency of their homes.

Households can apply for up to £6,000 towards solid wall insulation and up to £1,000 for a combination of two measures like a new boiler and double glazing.

Any homeowners or private tenants can apply for this by visiting gmenergyadvice.co.uk or phoning 0800 009 3363.
