A FIRE station is celebrating its 25th anniversary by raising money to help a three-year-old boy walk unaided.
Leigh Fire Station is holding a community fun day on Saturday from 11am until 4pm with all proceeds being donated to Finley Braithwaite, from Atherton, who has cerebral palsy.
His parents are trying to raise £5,000 for extra physiotherapy for Finley in the hope that it will help him take his first steps.
There will be children’s fairground, donkey rides, a climbing wall, bungee trampolines, go-karts and stalls.
There will also be fire service engines, equipment and safety advice from the firefighters and other emergency services, and an auction and raffle.
