A LEIGH business has officially opened its new home.

Leigh MP Andy Burnham came to open Airflow Compressors and Pneumatics Ltd’s new premises at Platt Fold Street Industrial Estate.

The company had been based on Lord Street since 1996 but was made a Platinum Sales Partner in 2013 for the Greater Manchester, Lancashire and North Wales area by Boge UK, a German compressor manufacturer.

This meant employing more staff and Airflow’s managing director, Roy Woods, and operations director, Adrian Sims, decided the time was right to sell their old premises to Hatchard Developments, who plan to re-develop them into flats and retail units.

Valehall Building Services have totally renovated Airflow's new premises into a bespoke unit to suit their 20 office staff and service engineers, and built a new sales and trade counter area.
