A TIME capsule has been buried to mark the completion of a £1.75m extension of the head office of a Leigh business.

Adactus Housing Group chief executive Paul Lees buried the capsule containing tenant newsletters, board papers and a memory stick holding photographs of the organisation’s work in concrete at the company's extended head office.

The time capsule also helped mark the 50th anniversary of Adactus Housing Association, the founding member of the Leigh-based business.

Mr Lees said: “As a group we have increased the size of our workforce by more than 100 in the past three years and staff have had to put up with increasingly cramped conditions as we have grown.

“This new accommodation will provide a much more pleasant working environment for everybody.”
