THE spirit of the London Olympics has come to Lowton.
More than 400 year five pupils from nine schools came to Lowton CE High School for the annual Olympics Celebration.
The event included a torch relay, opening ceremony and parade, with pupils taking part in a variety of sports including gymnastics, athletics, wrestling, judo and fencing.
Lowton High head teacher John Shanahan said: “The Lowton Olympics is one of those events on the school calendar that everyone looks forward to. It’s a chance for us to get together with the extended Lowton family and celebrate through sport and friendly competition.”
