A SPONSORED row and walk is being held to raise money for a schoolgirl with an incurable condition.
Carrie on Canal has been organised by the family of Carrieanne North who launched the Carrieon-fighting fund to raise money into research after the Golborne 10-year-old was diagnosed with a form of muscular dystrophy.
Their latest fundraiser on Monday, August 25, will see participants either walk an eight-mile route from the DW Stadium in Wigan to the Waterside Inn in Leigh or take to the canal in canoes or kayaks.
The family are looking for people who can provide canoes or small boats for the day and to take part in the event which is free to enter but participants must fill out an entry form by emailing support@whatacarrieon.co.uk.
