FOUR men have been charged following an armed robbery in Astley.
They have all been charged with robbery and appeared at Wigan Magistrates Court today, Friday.
The men are Adam Eric Cantona Doyle, aged 18, of Central Avenue, Worlsey, Dean Anthony Mcdonough, aged 24, of no fixed abode, Kade Stephen Cole, aged 23, of Morland Drive, Little Hulton and Daniel Dickenson, aged 27 of Duke Street, Radcliffe.
A Vauxhall Vectra pulled up at the back of the Co-op store on Chelford Drive, Astley just before 8pm on Wednesday August 13.
Three men got out of the car and went inside the shop, demanding money. One of the men was holding an axe.
A large quantity of money was given to them before they left and was later recovered.
