A LISTENING event is being held in order for the public to find out more about the Healthier Together proposals.
The event, in the Ellesmere Suite at Leigh Masonic Hall, on Thursday from 10am until noon, will be a chance for the public to ask questions and raise concerns with the Healthier Together team.
Under the proposals, four or five hospitals in Greater Manchester will be designated as specialist hospitals responsible for performing emergency surgery while the remaining centres would be allocated as general hospitals.
Governors at Leigh Infirmary are urging residents to attend and find out more about how the proposals could effect them before they respond to the consultation.
For more information or to fill out the consultation document, visit healthiertogethergm.nhs.uk.
