A POST mortem has failed to establish a cause of death after a woman's body was found in the garden of her Leigh home.
The woman has been formally identified as Elaine Flanagan.
Her body was found by police after they received a call from a member of the public who reported concerns for the welfare of a woman who lived at a house on Wigan Road, just after midnight on August 19.
A Home Office post mortem to establish the cause of death was inconclusive and further tests are ongoing.
Her husband, Thomas Flanagan, aged 57, will appear at Liverpool Crown Court tomorrow, Friday, charged with Elaine’s murder.
