A BOWLING competition is being held to raise money for a dementia buddy project.
The competition is being held at the Gardeners Bowling Club on Lovers Lane, Howe Bridge, on Saturday, August 30 at 11am.
Dementia Buddy is a project aimed at improving the care and facilities for people who suffer from dementia in the area.
There are five dementia cafes in the Wigan area and the project hopes to raise enough to open more in the Leigh and Atherton area.
The competition is open to everyone and will be in a pairs format with partners drawn on the day.
For more information, contact Terry Daly on 01942 603175, 07412 521040 or email terrydaly1@sky.com.
It will cost £2.50 per person to enter and there will be prizes for the winners.
