A MAN has been arrested in connection with the assault of a woman in Tyldesley.
The woman was walking home on Elliott Street after a night out, when she was approached by a group of men and women at about 2.30am on July 21.
The victim began to argue with the men before one of the them punched her in the face, knocking her unconscious.
The men and women in the group then ran away in the direction of Astley Street.
A 19-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of section 20 assault, he remains in police custody for questioning.
