TIME is running out to vote for one of four community projects to win funding from Lloyds Bank Community Fund.

Atherton and Leigh Foodbank, SVC Community Plus10 which gives free advice on debt, Glazebury Play Space and Senior Solutions which offers services to older people have all been shortlisted for the award.

In each community the good cause that receives the most votes will receive a £3,000 award, with second place receiving £2,000 and third and fourth place receiving £1,000 and £500 respectively.

Warren Done, manager at the foodbank, said: “We were among the four great local causes shortlisted for the award.

“There’s £3,000 up for grabs for the organisation that receives the most votes. “We help to feed around 130 hungry local people a week, and this amount would be a real boost.”
