BONFIRE night is on the horizon and here's our round up of what is happening in your area:
• A fireworks extravaganza is being held at Leigh Cricket Club on November 5 . There will be a fairground open from 5.30pm, a children's display at 6.45pm followed by the main display at 7.30pm. Visit leighcc.org for ticket details.
• A family fun bonfire and fireworks display is being held at Leigh RUFC on November 1. There will be amusements and entertainment from 6pm.
• Astley Scout And Guides HQ will be holding its annual bonfire and firework event on November 1 from 6pm. Visit, skiddle.com/e/12249762/ for tickets.
• There will also be a bonfire night firework display at the Coach and Horses pub on Manchester Road in Astley from 6.30pm on November 1. Visit facebook.com/CartAndHorses/ for more details.
• Golborne Parkside Sport and Community Club will be holding traditional bonfire night celebrations on November 5 from 6.30pm. Visit golborneparkside.co.uk for more details.
• A fireworks spectacular is being held at Golborne Sports and Social Club on November 1 from 5pm. Call 01942 510161 for ticket details.
• Live music will accompany the Red Lion in Lowton’s ‘Banging’ Bonfire Night on November 5 at 7pm. Email info@redlionlowton.com.
