A FAMILY fun day is being held in the hope of raising enough money to send a brave youngster on the holiday of a lifetime.
Five-year-old Charlie Townsend has West Syndrome, which is a rare form of epilepsy, cerebral palsy and neurological movement disorder dystonia, and his parents Gemma and Shane from Astley are desperate to take him to Disneyland Paris and create some happy memories with him.
Charlie’s family, friends and carers have organised a family fun day with bouncy castles and face painting at Leigh Miners on Twist Lane in Leigh on Saturday from noon until 4pm.
Tickets are £5 per family and will be available on the day.
