HUNDREDS of pupils have headed to school for non-uniform days in aid of Children in Need.
Pupils at Atherton Community School were amongst those who ditched the uniform and held sponsored games and a cake stall to raise £270 for annual charity drive.
Staff at Leigh Asda also got involved with community life colleague Gwen Appleton spending the weekend dressed as Pudsey the Bear.
She collected more than £900 from Asda customers for Children in Need and has also thanked them for donating £1,800 worth of food for Atherton and Leigh Foodbank.
Gwen said: "I did not ask them to donate the food they just donate food every week - we have amazing customers."
