RESIDENTS are celebrating after scooping several Northwest in Bloom awards.
Adactus Housing Association residents from Slackey Fold, Quayside and Ambergate scooped awards in recognition of their hard work and dedication in transforming their outdoor spaces into their own gardens.
A panel of expert judges visited each scheme throughout the summer months and judged each of the gardens in relation to colour, design, presentation and innovation.
Lindsay Ogden, neighbourhood development officer at the Leigh-based housing provider, said: “We would like to congratulate all our residents who were honoured with these fantastic awards.
“Residents spend a lot of their spare time and money improving and brightening up their gardens and neighbourhoods, so it is important they are recognised for all their hard work.”
Adactus Housing Association, who recently celebrated their 50th anniversary, sponsored this year’s event which aims to encourage communities to improve and care for their environment through imaginative planting of trees, shrubs, flowers and landscaping projects.
