Firefighters were called to put out a kitchen blaze in Leigh after a woman left food under the grill unattended.
Crews from Atherton and Leigh attended the fire in Bright Street at 3.13pm this afternoon.
A woman, believed to be in her late twenties, had left cooking under the grill while she went next door to speak to a neighbour.
She was alerted to the blaze by her smoke alarm and called the emergency services.
The woman was given oxygen therapy at the scene for smoke inhalation but declined further hospital treatment when paramedics arrived.
