ENGINEERING students have been seeing first hand how their skills could be applied to a career in the forces.
A group of 24 mechanical engineering students from Wigan and Leigh College visited Royal Air Force Cosford in Shropshire where they got the opportunity to tour the HQ Defence School of Aeronautical Engineering.
During their visit students got to familiarise themselves with the station’s aircraft, enjoy a tour of the weapons engineering department and watch a fast track demonstration of how to remove a jet engine.
