A SURVEY asking social housing tenants over the age of 55 to share their thoughts has been launched.

The online housing survey gives tenants of Wigan and Leigh Homes the opportunity to share their ideas about how their accommodation and the service provided could be improved to better meet their needs and help them live more independently.

The survey is open to Wigan and Leigh Homes’ tenants in sheltered or non-sheltered housing aged over 55-years-old, prospective tenants or carers and relatives.

To complete the survey, visit walh.co.uk/HousingReviewSurvey or call the support team on 01942 486549.

Cllr Chris Ready, cabinet member for housing at Wigan Council, said: “With an ageing population it is extremely important that accommodation is suitable for the twenty first century.

“I’d urge all those affected to complete the survey to help tenants shape the future of services for older people across Wigan Borough.”

The survey is anonymous and will close on February 14.
