A CAFE in Hindley has raised more than £200 for Wigan and Leigh Hospice’s Counting on Care appeal.
The Owl’d Barn on Atherton Road raised £206.12 on Thursday by hosting a fully sold-out three-course dinner.
The money was also raised through Indian head massages, reiki sessions, a raffle and donations for the Hindley hospice’s appeal which is raising money to refurbish the Inpatient Unit and make it dementia-friendly.
Sonia Davies, co-manager and owner of the Owl’d Barn with Susan Wilcock, said: “We wanted to help the hospice because we get a lot of people coming into the café who support it, we especially get a lot of Hospice volunteers.
“And because we are based in Hindley, like the hospice, we wanted to support a local charity. It was a really good night and we’re happy to have raised more than £200.”
