POLICE are hunting four men after a man was robbed by a gang of thugs as he entered a train station.

The man was going into Atherton station when four men stopped him at the entrance, dragged him to the ground and hit him in the head.

They then stole his phone, headphones and train tickets.

The incident happened at about 11.10am on Saturday, February 21.

British Transport Police have now released images of four men they want to speak to in connection with the attack.

Detectives are urging the men in the images or anyone who recognises them to come forward immediately to help with their enquiries.

Det Sgt Stephen Kite said: "It is vital that the men responsible for this violent attack are apprehended — violence like this will not be tolerated.”
