TODDLERS had all hands on deck last week for a whole host of pirate themed activities for charity.
The little Scallywags at Stepping Stones Nursery, in Leigh Road, got into character to raise money for Barnardo's as part of the charities Big Toddle Campaign.
The Barnardo’s Big Toddle ran from the 1 to 12 June and was aimed at under five year olds in order to raise money for vulnerable children.
For the full week the children were about all things pirate which included a treasure hunt, map making, and outfit designing with hats and telescopes in tow.
Jackie Rowson, Nursery Manager said: "We all had a fantastic day and the children all loved dressing up.
"The Big Toddle is traditionally a walk but because of our large numbered group we couldn't do that so we decided to have a weeks worth of pirate activities instead to stick with the theme.
"The children all took a sponsor form home for the treasure hunt and we are hoping to have raised our target of £300."
