Man charged after alleged machete attack in Leigh
A man has been charged with attempted murder after an alleged machete attack.
Alex Michael Tattersall, aged 25, of Bickershaw Lane, Bickershaw, was charged with attempted murder at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court today.
The charge relates to an incident which happened at around 3.20am on June 24.
Police were called to an address in Elizabeth Street following reports that a 25-year-old man had been attacked with a weapon.
The case has been committed to Liverpool Crown Court on July 9 and the accused has been remanded in custody.
