A CARAVAN was destroyed in a suspected arson attack.
Firefighters were called to a patch of land near Edna Road, Westleigh, shortly after 10am this morning to reports a caravan was on fire.
Crews from Leigh and Hindley fire stations tackled the blaze, which was causing a lot of smoke, but the caravan was destroyed.
Police have been informed as fire investigators believe the fire was started deliberately.
Anyone with information should call police on 101.
