TWO Bedford High School Students have bagged the highest grades in their year group.

Twins Craig and Jason Rose, aged 16, scooped a cool 17 A* and five A's between them making them the first and second highest achievers in year 11.

Craig and Jason are now going on to Winstanley College where they both hope to discover what career paths they would like to venture down.

Craig, who will be studying English literature, maths, chemistry and biology said: " I'm going to be keeping my eyes open for what job I would like to do.

"Bedford really has been the best school that I have been to.

"It just kept getting better and better as the years went on.

"I would tell the year 10's to start revising now because the exam stress is enough without leaving revision to the last minute, that would be my advice."

Jason, who is studying maths, further maths, physics and chemistry said his favourite subject is maths.

He said: "I have just found that I am good at it and although I don't know what job I want yet I would like something in the maths field.

"I have really enjoyed it at Bedford, especially the first couple of years when there wasn't so much stress!"

Teenager Olivia Hampson, aged 16, knows exactly what she wants to do and said she has always been interested in Journalism.

The year 11 pupil achieved two A*, five A's, and three B's and is going to Winstanley College to study English literature and language, creative writing and politics.

She said: "Journalism has always been something that I have enjoyed because I love creative writring.

"I hope to go to Manchester University after college and then look at getting into a local newspaper job before moving up in to the nationals."
