WESTLEIGH High School students were celebrating when they collected their GCSE results on Thursday having achieved another set of commendable results.

It was a perfect score for the school as 100% of students achieved five A* to G grades, 43% achieved A* to C and 55% of exam entries achieved A* to C grades.

Headteacher John Banks said: "We are all absolutely delighted for the students who have gained these excellent results.

"Our students worked very hard to achieve these grades in light of the turbulent changes to the examination system and fully deserve the exciting futures ahead of them.

"Their success would not be possible without the students’ self-motivation; the hard work and commitment of the staff and governors, along with the support of our parents.

"The three-way partnership of pupils - parents – teachers is the key to Westleigh High School’s on-going success.

"Westleigh High School prides itself in providing excellent support for all of our students.
