LEIGH will be all Heart on Saturday, as residents learn how to save lives.

The Heart of Leigh Day in the town centre will feature different zones teaching people how to look after their own heart as well as the skills to help save other people's lives.

Residents are invited to join in Zumba, aerobics, football, free health checks and face painting from 11am to 3pm.

Councillor Damien Edwardson, who is leading the Heart of Leigh campaign, said: "We want to encourage people to live a healthy life and help them make those lasting changes which will continue to offer many health benefits in years to come.

"And also it is a great opportunity for people to find out more about how they can learn essential CPR skills that could someday help save someone's life - all as part of a free fun day full of events to keep the whole family happy."
