ASTLEY & Tyldesley Cycle Speedway had five riders competing in the third National Round of the British Youth & Junior League series at Bury on Saturday.

Reece Pollitt dropped just one point in the u-17 qualifiers to make it through to the Grand Prix A final, where he finished in fourth place.

Ciaran Collins competed, despite riding with a broken hand in a plaster case.

Not surprisingly, his score was down from usual, scoring seven points and winning the Grand Prix D final.

Earlier in the day, Joe Quarmby scored 13 points in the u10s qualifiers, before taking second place in the Grand Prix B final.

Younger brother, Max Quarmby, scored nine points in the u8s qualifiers and went on to finish in third place in the Grand Prix C final.

Lucy Grantham scored five points in the u8s qualifiers and finished third in the Grand Prix D Final.

On August 26, A&T host the Manchester League u13s and u19s Individual Finals.

First race at Gin Pit will be shortly after the u-13 registrations close at 7pm.
