A LEIGH man has appeared in court facing nine rape and sexual offence charges.
Ihsan Ul-Haq, of Glebe Street, denied all the allegations and is to face trial this summer.
The 40-year-old pleaded not guilty at Liverpool Crown Court on Tuesday to seven rape offences, one of assault by penetration and one of attempted assault by penetration.
All the alleged offences involve the same woman.
The defendant was further remanded on bail to await his trial, expected to last five days, which will begin on July 4.
