A MAN has been jailed for six months after being found guilty of assault, two shop lifting offences and possession of a knife and cannabis.
Derek McLagan, of Selwyn Street, Leigh, appeared at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court last Thursday.
The 41-year-old was also ordered to pay £250 in compensation to the victim of the assault.
