THIS picture was taken by amateur photographer Richard Nuttall, 50.
The dad-of-two from Argyle Street in Hindley took the photograph looking towards Westleigh while walking near Barlow’s Farm in Bickershaw.
The house husband said: “I like to take pictures and have been taking quite a few shots lately, particularly in black and white.
“This shot makes me think of the old and the new because I can see the field and all the factories, including the former Turners factory site.
“I like to take pictures of different things and not get tied to a specific genre and I am really proud of this shot.”
