A WORRIED mum has thanked the Journal for helping to find her son who she described as being ‘very vulnerable’ after taking legal highs and struggling with mental health issues.
Tom Shaw of Shadwell Grove, Leigh, has been found in Reading after going missing for more than two weeks.
The 22-year-old is now being treated at Leigh Infirmary.
His 50-year-old mum Karen Dickinson, who is grateful that the Journal ran a story appealing for help to find Tom, said: "Tom has been found and I would like to thank everyone who has shared our post online and for all the messages, love and support.
“Greater Manchester Police and the Journal have been fabulous but I couldn't have got through it without you all.”
