A GOLBORNE mum has raised £580 for the trust that runs the borough's hospitals by completing a 10k.
Patricia Hesketh has donated the sponsorship money she raised from this year's Great Manchester Run to the Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh NHS Foundation Trust's Minds and Memory Fund, which is used to help elderly patients and people suffering from dementia.
The 56-year-old said: “It feels great to be able to raise money for a worthy charity.
“It is good to be able to give something back.”
Jean Ramsdale, lead dementia nurse at the trust, said: “We are always grateful to receive donations to our Minds and Memory Fund and the money goes towards worthwhile initiatives to improve the service that we provide to our patients.”
