THREE family members from Leigh are due to appear in court tomorrow morning, Tuesday, to answer puppy-related cruelty charges.
Julie Ward, 33, of Douglas Road, and Patrick Ward, 39, of Windermere Road, are accused of five offences of causing unnecessary suffering to a number of puppies under section four of the Animal Welfare Act 2006.
The pair and Martin Ward, 31, of Douglas Road, are also accused of failing to meet the needs of the puppies under section nine of the act.
All three are due to appear at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court in a prosecution brought by the RSPCA.
