LEIGH Ornithological Society is inviting residents to attend a presentation and day trip to find out more about birds.
The free presentation on Friday, October 7, will be hosted by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds' James Bray and will focus on the history of hen harriers.
It will follow the society's annual general meeting in the Derby Room at Leigh Library, which will start at 7.30pm.
Two days later the society will be going on a trip to Connah’s Quay Nature Reserve on the Welsh side of the Dee Estuary.
Car sharing will be available, non-members are welcome and the meeting place is Doctor’s Nook car park, opposite Leigh Library, at 7am.
For more information contact trip leader Steve Scrimgeour on 07930 948392 or visit leighos.org.uk.
