DISCOUNT retailer B&M will open its new store in Leigh on Thursday.
The branch at Parsonage Retail Park has created 40 jobs and will be opened by representatives from Wigan and Leigh Hospice and the mayor and mayoress of Wigan Borough, Cllr Ron Conway and his wife Janet.
Store manager Deborah Hayes said: “The Wigan and Leigh Hospice crew really stood out for us. They go the extra mile for the community and we want to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work they do.
“We cannot wait to get the doors open and show customers their new B&M Parsonage.”
Shoppers can enjoy a balloon giveaway and face painting at the store on Saturday.
There is another B&M store in Leigh, at Spinning Gate Shopping Centre.
