WIGAN and Leigh Hospice's shop on Bradshawgate reopened on Monday following two months of refurbishment work.
The new-look Leigh store, which sells a range of clothes, books, toys and household goods, was officially reopened by hospice patient Gareth Roscoe.
After cutting the ribbon, the 59-year-old, who has a form of bone marrow cancer called multiple myeloma, said: “I am absolutely delighted to have opened the shop because of what Wigan and Leigh Hospice has been able to do for me and my family.
“The hospice's shop is performing a service by providing people with inexpensive but quality goods, offering volunteer opportunities and raising money for the hospice."
The shop has been extended into a neighbouring premises and has new signage and accessibility options for visitors.
