FIREFIGHTERS extinguished a car blaze that is believed to have been started deliberately this morning, Tuesday.
A crew from Leigh fire station were called to Brideoak Street, Leigh, at around 5am following reports of a maroon Ford Fiesta being alight.
A firefighter used breathing apparatus and a hose reel to put out the flames.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: “The incident has now been passed on to police.
"The fire is believed to have been started deliberately.”
Anyone with information about the fire should call Greater Manchester Police on 101.
