A CHRISTMAS lights switch on will be held in Atherton this evening.
The memory tree light switch on will take place from 6.30pm, with members of Dementia Buddy, which is part of the Good Deeds Trust, in attendance, at Prospect House, next to Atherton Town Hall.
The event will include a choir singing carols and afterwards the entertainment and refreshments will be served up at Atherton Methodist Church, High Street.
During December members of the public are being encouraged to buy tags (£2) for them to write their festive message on, and place onto the Christmas tree.
All monies raised will go to the charity, which supports people living with dementia.
